The Opportunity

Mission Statement

To compassionately meet the physical need of our clients while introducing them to the one that can meet their spiritual and eternal needs, so they can live productive and active life with dignity as the masterpiece God designed them to be.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Creation Station accomplishes our mission specifically in the making of prosthetic hands/arms and assistive living devices to those who are unable to afford the conventional solutions offered through traditional means.

For many people in need of a prosthetic, it is simply cost prohibitive to obtain one, much less multiple for a growing child that will need a larger size every 1-2 years as they grow and mature.  In the United States you can expect to pay around $5,000 for a cosmetic prosthetic, up to $10,000 for a functional prosthetic with a hook, and between $20,000 to $100,000 for the latest myoelectric arm technology. You can easily see how these prices are simply outside the realm of possibility for many families, especially children.

The Gospel Through the Hand

So how does this promote the gospel?  Do you see a similarity in circumstances, from the family that is completely incapable of obtaining a prosthetic for their child, and humanities complete inability to save ourselves?  We are in just as desperate of a circumstance.  The fall of man, left us all desperately lacking, and fallen short.  “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God- Romans 3:23.  The consequences of that sin is death, eternal separation from God.  “For the wages of sin is death….” Romans 6:23

But here is where the beauty of the gospel comes.  Just when it appears there is no hope, we are offered a free gift!  The rest of Romans 6:23 “…BUT  (such a beautiful word), the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus Christ through his death on the cross bore our punishment for sin.  Romans 5:8  “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 10:9  “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  It isn’t about trying to be a good person; no amount of good works can save you.  It is a free gift of God.  Ephesians 2:8  “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.”

Our free gift of a prosthetic hand, is in no way comparable to the eternal gift of salvation offered through Christ.  His gift is eternal, our gift is temporal.  The prosthetic simply meets an immediate need, and opens the door to an introduction of the One who can fill our eternal need.

Creation Station seeks to offer hope to those in need: from children to soldiers, pregnancy centers and international families.  Together we can give hope and help people in need. Working with and through the e-NABLE network, Creation Station uses 3D printer technology to create hands and arms for individuals who were born with missing fingers or have lost limbs from war, disease or natural disasters – at no cost to those in need.

In addition to the prosthetics, Creation Station is stepping into the arena to make assistive living devices to help clients that need a little help with common tasks.  From devices as simple as pen holders for those who struggle to grip and writing utensil to key holders, bottle openers and shoe horns, and even a device to help a child play the violin.

We have a variety of devices engineered and produced to help make life a little easier for those that just need a little help to remain independent.  If you have a need, reach out to us, and lets see if we can make something work for you!
